Group Facilitation and Management

The animated picture shows how PLAN is easy and convenient during group activities. The technique of Circulating Absence © (aka Distributed and Moderated Extractions) of individual members of a group at work exerts remarkable effects. The first observation is the improved performance of the group. It is surprising yet is can be observed, theorized and controlled.
It is easy to notice that PLAN's application causes no intrusion, no addition, but a pure facilitation. The 'circulating absence' causes a sociological event that is not a passive facilitation, but an insightful boost of the social goal along with harmonization of the group, in itself and with its environment.

PLAN operates a symptom cleansing, by evacuation of blockages (green) and release of
new creative functions within the group. Psychology and Sociology are both active.

History/Origins of PLAN

PLAN has been first theorized and practiced in France by Dr William Theaux. It has been initiated on the ground of Sociology, Psychology and Cybernetics, with the goal to provide groups and their productivity to improve within, as well as to develop their behavior toward their social environment (Manager, employee and/or customers relation), and beyond, toward ecological performance.
Later during its conception PLAN has been recognized as identical - yet updated - to the Western cultural tradition which was pervading the early Sciences of Nature. During centuries this doctrine was called the Art of Memory. PLAN thus represents and applies the law of memory, that resources humankind's identity and allow to drive industrial projects in clarity.

Technical Notes

Mechanisms put in action:
New technologies and new ways of life change the condition of our psychology. For individuals, PLAN provides intimacy during individual private sessions which reinforces personal reflection about one's roles in life and in the group.

Networking with communication machines impacts on sociology also. The circulating absence in the group (re: the member extraction) compensates the intrusion of the new communication apparatuses; the 'absence' represents the anonymity of the Machine. For the collectivity, PLAN provides a social setting that re-personalize mechanical environment with human roles.

The typical extraction method of PLAN realizes a therapy for the group through the individuals; while productivity improves with an awareness of the exterior. This is why PLAN can be named also an Ecological Meeting. This metaphor indicates how it is suitable for our present times and work condition.

NOTE : PLAN emphasizes Sociology, with the absence that it puts in circulation, which is a scientific founding argument (pore, anomia; E.Durkheim 1901 foundation of Sociology); several books and articles are available. Beside this deep science access, a chosen cnn page helps for an easy contemplation. It shows the current shift in civilization mind and proves that human life begins to see itself again, as part of its environment. This is what PLAN values Ecology for its keynote - for it increases the feeling of self-responsibility of the members of a group, which harmonize their activity together and with their environment (natural and social).
PLAN  is 'revolutionary', for such 'Ecology' does not reject, but includes and integrates the new Technologies of information and communication. Meanwhile, PLAN covers the fields and go deeper than comparative techniques: conflict resolution, adaptation to changes, problem solving, Knowledge processing etc... There is a lot more to say about PLAN. Keeping it simple here: it is a pleasant, effective and efficient method for group activities enhancement and management.
