Subject: contact with NLP Florida local chapter
Date: jeudi 21 octobre 1999 14:27

Hello,

A member of the NLP, from Ohio I guess, suggested that I make contact with the NLP in my area.
I found your address at http://natural-law.org/2000/states/Florida.html

I am currently living in Sarasota Do you have a web page - or documents that you could send me for more information?

Thank you

Hello William,

Sorry to have taken so long to get back to you.

One of John Hagelin's secretaries called me a few days ago. She was checking out your website and neither she nor I could figure out the relevance and possible application of your information. This morning I spent some more time going through it and still do not get it.

It appears to me to be a wonderful attempt at intellectually grasping the workings of individual and collective consciousness. The problem is that it is so intellectual and sophisticated that it is difficult to apply.

And this is what makes TM so special--that one does not need to understand any of the mechanics of the movement of consciousness in order to grow in consciousness. That any individual or group of individuals can experience pure, unconditioned consciousness and thereby become unconditioned. There is no need to understand who was who or who did what in the past in order to grow out of conditioning. For some great minds, such intellectual olympics may prove useful for their development or even for developing some form of informational/behavioural/administrative technology, but for rapid growth toward enlightenment both individual and collective, daily transcendence is the most effective means.

I am reminded of an experience I had many years ago. When I was only 25 I was invited to speak to a class of PhD students in Sarasota. During the question period students were asking me questions using sophisticated wording that I did not understand. So, I would ask them to repeat the question in more simple language. A few times they had to rephrase the question several times. What I found with each and every question was that when it was asked in simple terms that I could understand, the answer came quite easily. Since then, I have noticed time and again that many people are too smart for their own good. One can get lost in the "world" of the intellect and never develop the intuitive language of the heart.

So, unfortunately, John's secretary and I do not understand your work and how it can be used. And I don't think my friend in Texas is that much smarter than we are.

But, if you decide to learn TM--there I can help!

Take Care and Good Luck,

Sam

Subject: Adjustement of the presentation of PLAN
Date: samedi 6 novembre 1999 05:52

Thank you Sam, for keeping in touch.

I am sure that we agree that the Veda have lead to highly intellectual studies, as well as remarkably simple application. This is not different with PLAN, that I don't pretend to compare with the Veda !  - I just mean that PLAN is one of the things which can have very high and deep intellectual extension, and yet very simple in its application.

I wish that it can be noticed that I presented PLAN. with great care to mention in my presentation
>Other documents will probably be useful later, but they are sometime
>quite dense and better approached through a sort of 'guided tour.'

And thus I only referred to
>http://home.att.net/~w.theaux
for I did not intend to go in depth right from the opening.

I am absolutely convinced that MT is as you describe it.
>And this is what makes TM so special--that one does not need to understand
>any of the mechanics of the movement of consciousness in order to grow in
>consciousness.
This the same situation with PLAN, there is no need to 'understand' it when it operates.

Besides, for the same reasons that make MT publish a 'Physicians' Guide' brochure, it is expected that a body of sound experiments and studies also supports PLAN's claim.
You would see it unfair if I would criticize MT on the base that I don't understand Chart of page 3 of the promotional brochure and pretend that 'Myocardial Ischemia' does not make sense to me.
All the same it would be unjust if I would downcast MT on the basis that it is inspired by a Great Being that you refer to.
I made on the World Wide Web public access to some of PLAN's studies and results as well as its historical foundation. There is nothing wrong if PLAN proves to be inspired by great beings and/or great moments in History. Nor is it damaging if it proves to apply the natural laws of memory.

I wish that my English is good enough that you can ponder my pledge and that we can understand what is in parallel between what you and me have been presenting each one to the other.

I thank you for your offer to help me with MT in the near future, and I am pleased to lead you toward a better knowledge of PLAN. As time will pass and allow it, I shall keep your informed with further developments that I lead into the clear simplicity which is requested (if one avoids to venture in my research web pages).

I am sorry that a direct communication with the people of MUM is not stable yet, but I count on you and your communication with the  "One of John Hagelin's secretaries" that you mention, for continuing to let her know about this. From my part I shall continue with a CC to Ms Peden, in maintaining this frail contact. Then, along the following months, even perhaps years, our views will probably begin to get along together and we will have succeeded in an important blending of Eastern and Western mentalities.

    In confidence,

   Dr William Theaux

PLAN (Plural Analysis) has begun its marketing phase and is presented to consulting and group management companies. I am specially willing to stress efficiently this process with the MT community, the MUM and the NLP. I also wish to make a preamble - in order to clear further path as follow:

This week is a good opportunity to celebrate the first academic presentation of a discovery which has originated under the analysis of PLAN in 1985. This initial result was so intense and unexpected that it has burdened the young technique of PLAN. Eventually this trial lasted fifteen years, until this week, November 1999, when the American Society for Oriental Research in Boston opens its academic assizes for the thesis.
It is presented in part by the Egyptologist A.Osman, and constitutes a major step in the acknowledgement that the discovery during the 20th century of the pharaoh Akhnaton constitutes the historical identification of the character known in the Bible as Moses.
In the future, we shall not be surprised that Archeology, Egyptology, was clarifying our mind during the 20th century, as did the other Sciences. But we are just entering this phase, and 15 years ago, when PLAN and myself were the first to interpret and publish, it was vehemently rejected.

During these years of critics, PLAN was supported by a second discovery that was identifying it with the natural laws of memory, as they had been described in the early stage of civilization in Greece. Before introducing this 'Art of Memory', the Akhnaton episode will still hold our attention - since it is quite interesting for MT (as an Indian related tradition), as well as for the political view of the NLP:

In the middle of the 20th century, Savitri Devi wrote from India were she lived, a major book about Akhnaton (Son of the Sun). She described how the difficult blending of Western Monotheism(s) and Asian mentalities could be facilitated and possibly solved on the base of retrieving the source of the said Monotheism(s) in Akhnaton's reign.
Savitri claimed that the original mentality of Akhnaton's instigation was familiar to the Asian cultural foundation. She was sorry that the ulterior Monotheim(s) had lost contact with this source. This contact is what we are re-connecting at the turn of the millennium.

Recent information about Christianity in India illustrates what Savitri was saying. Conflicts in the world become also less openly economical and more religious. Instead of disregarding these factors, awareness and consciousness can help to solve them.
Since PLAN has participated in the rediscovery of Akhnaton, it participates in the reconciliation between the so-called Western monotheistic mentality and the wisdom of the East which manifests through MT.
Since PLAN also has rediscovered the origins of our industrial civilization, through its activation of the natural laws of memory - it is a technique that interests a political enterprise, for more realism and understanding of our past - hence the ability of control of the future.

I wish this brief email to be explanatory enough to clarify any unfortunate reaction of misunderstanding due to the intensity of what PLAN has initially brought back to our memory and consciousness. A quiet contemplation of our rapid increase in knowledge will prepare and help to familiarize with these new ideas.
Once this simple information digested, I shall be able to progress toward the next presentation phase of PLAN, which will focus on its simple technique and its community with the natural laws of social enterprise.

PLAN restitutes the Natural Laws of Memory

The Natural Law Party will certainly be interested with Plural Analysis (PLAN) for this method and technique of group management puts in action the natural laws of memory.

Here is an informative summary about PLAN - please forgive me if I begin with going back a little in the past:

PLAN originates from a long popular tradition, beginning with the early civilization in Greece, when teaching and social rules that were previously kept secret in temples, were disclosed. Beside Plato, Sophocles and others, it is Simonides who has been in charge to disclose the laws of memory and to describe how they take place in the human collectivity. As it was usual in his time, he used a parable, yet quite descriptive and precise, which became the model of the Art_of_Memory.
A few centuries later, this Art of Memory was brought to Rome by Cicero. And again, centuries later, with Giordano Bruno, it was held in Europe during The Renaissance. Meanwhile, in between these three major names and episodes of the civilization, it was continuously carried along by the 'Hermetic milieu' - which represented in the past what the laic and scientific community represents in our present time.

If we now reassemble this Hermetism (that originated in fact in Hermopolis Magna - aka Amarna, the spiritual city of Akhnaton in the previous time) with the three later episodes (Greece, Rome, Renaissance), we discover that only the modern time had repressed the Art of Memory and nearly 'forgotten' it. It is therefore remarkably interesting that it re-emerged at the beginning of the 20th century and took the form Psychoanalysis, which was known, at first, as 'memory cure'.

The last 15 years of my researches have operated a twist in the classical psychoanalysis, an evolution, a metamorphosis. Starting from the dead-end that Psychoanalysis was meeting in 1985, in France, I transformed it into a practice that I called Plural Analysis (PLAN, aka Analyse Plurielle). Then, during the continuing process of this mutation, it became clear that I had reset inadvertently the ancient technique known as the Art of Memory.
This acknowledgement took place in 1990 when I was working with the University of London, Warburg Institute. Since then, the coincidence between  PLAN and the Art of Memory has gradually come closer, until the last version which restitutes completely the original model - with the addition of an update which addresses the conditions of modern environment.

A description/illustration of the ORIGINAL Art of Memory can be found at http://www.dnafoundation.com/priv/artofmem.htm
With a complementary document: Simonides' historical text, as transmitted by Cicero according to the University of London - http://www.dnafoundation.com/priv/yatoplan.htm

The MODERN version of the Art of Memory - aka PLAN is presented at
http://www.dnafoundation.com/plan.htm

As one can expect, bringing together modern Psychoanalysis with the 2000 year long tradition of Hermetism, gives a report which is intense and complex. Hermetism was spiritual as well as the deepest and largest current of the western industrial civilization until its repression during The Renaissance. The early results of PLAN, in term a retrieval of memory, are also impressive.
In the present summary I have intended to show how PLAN was also historical, clear and simple. PLAN is as comfortable and natural for a group than meditation can be for an individual. It is collectively pleasant and efficient. It also develops the power of group force, and of course memory and awareness that are useful for driving the industrial productivity in an
ecologically balanced way.

Dear Dr. Theaux, thank you very much for the long email you sent today regarding the Plan. Knowing the historic development of the 'world view' of the Plan, brought your knowledge into perspective. I have forwarded it on to Dr. Goodman, who said she would be  in touch with you today. Hopefully she has reached you.

I will have your name added to the NLP email subscription list, so you receive all of the current "news flashe"s from the US NLP.

I will send you the email address and name of the National Leader of the Natural Law Party in France on Monday. Our offices will be closed over Thanksgivings weeken, and I have not been able to find the address today.

Again, thank you very much for all your information on the Plan. I think that once you've had a chance to understand the frame of reference of this knowledge of consciousness, you will find many similarities.

With best wishes, Sally Peden

Dr. Theaux

We all travel a different road in life as much as we are individuals.   We are in reality an extension of our experiences and fundamentally made of the same stuff.   Our extension of our experiences is what we bring to life and it is manifested in how it is incorporated in the body politics or the human organism called humanity.

The NLP was created by a Yogi that goes without saying.   However the NLP will go thru a synthesis a reflection of the new thoughts that enter it's parameters which will cause it to grow and change in texture.   The NLP is for the common good of humanity nothing more and nothing less.   There is room for your views to be analyzed discussed and incorporated if your views or experiences has the weight of truth behind them.   However if your purpose is to analyze and incorporate the NLP into PLAN it won't happen by the sheer weight of the NLP and its respect for the diversity of indivdual thoughts and experiences of other individuals who search for a voice.

We are all a part of the social organism fighting to be heard and incorporated into life.   We all have personal agendas and are looking for a place to be heard, PLAN is no different.   You can be a stream that empties into a ocean of thought and become something much larger or choose to become a stream that leaves the body in tears.   The choice of course is always yours.   Is your interest the common good of humanity or is your interest purely one of self-interest or the pursuit of money?   The NLP is of a much higher calling and for the good of humanity and will not be removed from that course by the sheer will of it's membership.

Peace

Paul Simmons
